PID tuning

    Would some kind soul point this newbie toward some information on PID tuning (the why and wherefore) and/or Marlin 1.4 and its implementation? TIA ;-)

    How would you do this without editing firmware?

    You don't. The PID values have to be set in the firmware and the PID mode must be enabled... not sure how you would do that without changing the firmware.

    M301 and M304, let you set PID values temporarily for Hotend and Bed respectively.

    Thanks! Be a pain to have to make that a startup GCode sequence :)
