    Hey folks,

For some reason my z-axis moves 200% of what it should. Here is a list of the things I've done so far in my failed attempts to fix the issue:
    -Reflash firmware
    -Fresh reinstall of MatterControl
    -Change Mega and Ramps boards
    -Triple check wiring
    -Change computers
    -Try other controller software

The EEProm settings in MatterControl are in the attached image.

My R1 is about 2 years old now and has the new Z-axis upgrade.

I will be incredibly indebted to anyone that can help me solve this. My R1 has been down for almost 2 months now and I miss it a lot. I thoroughly enjoy exposing my 6 yo daughter to engineering and design and this has been a great vehicle for this - thus I'm keen to continue as such.

    With my gratitude,

    Jefferyfish

Odd that it's just the z doing it. What are your z steps in the firmware and which robo firmware are you using? I won't be much help as I run the r1+ but I'll sure try

For the r1 with lead screw upgrade your steps per mm should be 800 I belive

Exactly. The original robo r1 was like 2245 or something more than double. You might just have the incorrect Z steps in your firmware configuration.h Once you do the Z axis upgrade it is essentially an R1+ so pick the correct firmware
