Unresolved A Different LCD controller

    I bought another LCD controller, and this time I decided to buy it from amazon (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00V2QPU5Q?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00). The other one I bought had a hardware problem, but it would display the normal screen when connected. My new one only goes to a blue screen, and I have tried to swap wires, I just get no screen. Do i need a computer connected while setting up this LCD? Any help will be appreciated.

    Have you tried adjusting the contrast?

    I do not see a contrast adjuster, unless its not labeled in terms I understand, and i read the thread you linked and they say to add a resistor, but didn't really show pictures where they put the resistor exactly.

    That little potentiometer just under the left edge of the screen is the contrast adjustment.

    I don't have a 560ohm resistor, so I might just return this one, and spend the extra $2 for a different one instead of spending $5 on resistors.

    I bought that thing to did you use the cables that came with it? Mine were actually switched backwards

    Generally there can be some set up issues with the full graphics LCD controllers.....

    - If this is a different type of controller to your old one, then you need to make some firmware changes or it will not work. I don't know if you are replacing or upgrading?

    - You must use the Ramps connection board and the cables which came with the controller. Unfortunately the connector boards and cables are often not the same for all controllers - often they are reversed or mirrored and will never work.

    - Contrast can be a problem but should be adjustable using the pot on the front, lower left side on the LCD Controller

    As Ziggy said you need to make 2 firmware changed for the Full Graphics controller which according to the link is what you bought. Follow this video
