Hello everyone, I am new at 3D printing. Can someone explain me the difference between ABS and PLA filaments? Thanks.

The bullet about less sturdy than ABS certainly applies to generic PLA vs. ABS, but there are PLA variants out now that may be better for certain applications.

Thanks Mark. So the main difference is that ABS melts at higher temperature, and is more stable?

Essentially. PLA is fine for most things as long as it's not near a heat source that can raise the temp to around 150F (66C) It's also more brittle and doesn't sand/post process as well. Though it is stronger and stiffer.
