Well I have got some really good prints out of PLA and want to try some ABS out. I do have a R1 with metal hotend. Do I need to do anything special to start printing ABS?

    Temp
    FW
    etc.

Run the hot end around 230 and the bed at 100 if you can. Otherwise 80C is fine on the bed.

Keep air flow on and around the printer to a minimum.
You will likely get some warp (hopefully minimal) be prepared to deal with it.
