    Any help would be greatly appreciated!
    i start a print job in matter-control. the bed and extruder heat up. the printer autoleves then stops in back right corner.
    temperature starts dropping immediately and a bar flies across the the top showing status of print job then says done.

    thanks in advance

    Try printing another file,does it do the same? Post your GCODE here and lets see what it says.

    Try a different tool (not MatterControl). Repetier host and Cura are free. Try one of those.

    I solved the problem. It is a new printer and after checking the wiring I noticed almost every wire was loose and needed to be redone. Once I put new connectors on all the wiring it started working just fine.

    You bed exceeded MAX TEMP as defined in the firmware (CONFIGURATION.H).

    If you know what version you are on, check the source for that version. I keep mine set at 115...

    Specifically look for this line:

    #define BED_MAXTEMP 110

    Whatever that number is, that is your bed limit. Some versions had this as low as 85.

    The differences had to do with the way they had the bed wired. So if you have the ribbon cable connecting your bed heater to the RAMPS, crank it up. Otherwise you may want to replace that wiring to use the ribbon cable approach first.
