Algae PLA

    I got some from printedsolid.com for about half off. I was pleasantly surprised with this filament other than the smell (which is non toxic). So they say.

    I did a birds nest and here the results : bird-nest1.jpg birdnest2.jpg birdnest3.jpg
    I did use a raft and printed at .3 layer to speed up print time which as still around 9 hrs.

    It wasn't perfect but good enough for a bird nest. I also have the antlers that attach to it. Still cleaning them I used supports only on the antlers.


    Overall I would say that Algae PLA is pretty good stuff, it has a natural look to it. I think it comes in different colors too.
    I though I would post this for anyone thinking about trying it.
