Solved Another Print Bed Not Heating Thread

    I'm confused. What could have caused this? The corrosion just scrapes off and is only on the connector and prong in the pic. It does not go through to the board. I don't want to buy a new board if I don't have to and I am sure when I put the cleaned parts back together everything will work again.

    I don't think a bad board could have caused the prong to fry like this because the prong is only fried where it touches the connector, the board-to-prong connection is clean.

    If you can clean it off and make it work then all the better. Looks like something shorted it out at some point and burnt on some plastic.

    I think that's exactly what it happening. I can smell a warm plastic smell when I turn everything on. Hopefully a new RAMPS board will stop things from shorting out and melting.
