Suddenly, when trying to print a model, the R1+ completes the 9-point autoleveling but then just freezes at the 9th point and does not print. However, MatterControl believes it is printing and even keeps the timer running.
What could be causing this? Thanks. Gary

Examine the GCode terminal for any errors. You may have to scroll it back all the way, but you will probably find some.
Report those and we can assist in sorting the causes.

Thanks Mark for the quick response. I'm afraid I'm relatively new to this and do not know what you mean by the GCode terminal. Is that something accessed through MatterControl?

In theory :) I am not convinced the new "Cura" slicer does, but they all SHOULD.
Good luck, let us know what errors are reported.

    From GCode terminal:
<-Printer stopped due to errors. Fix the error and use M999 to restart. (Temperature is reset. Set it after restarting) [2338.499]

Message repeats. How do I find out what the error is? How do I use M999 to restart? How do I set it after restarting?
Thanks in advance for your help. Gary

Hi Gary, Further back in there is the actual error. M999 is a generic (not worth a whole lot) error indicator. Copy and past your communication log to notepad and look back. You'll likely see something about "temp fell to much" or the such.

Look further back. That error you listed is Marlin repeatedly telling you an earlier error occurred :)

That was why I mentioned this :)

That's at the top. I probably lost the earlier message after repeated attempts and restarting.
Is there a diagnostic I can run?

Some slicers will let you export that to disk (the terminal) but not mattercontrol.
(At least as far I as I know, and that is not a lot about MatterControl).

Had to delete my wrong forum message haha! I believe the last person just had to be on guard and ready and caught the error. I dont think they export either.

Nope, that does not go all the way back :)
You need to power off the printer and then restart it.

Cleared log. Turned printer off. Turned printer on. Started print. Log attached. Looks the same as last one.

Nope, still did not capture the actual error.
Pity since the Marlin error is not useful.

I am with @Geof though in that the actual error is almost certainly a version of "TEMPERATURE FELL TOO MUCH DURING PRINT"

And that is always thermistor related. Be nice to be able to prove that, but if you don't capture it in the terminal there is no other way.
