    Hello everyone.

I have been facing an issue with my ROBO3D R1+ in which the lower portion of my prints are coming really rough and sometimes just a mess, HOWEVER, it seems to be only the bottom half area, as soon as it reaches the mid print, it all gets very nice and smooth as you can see from the pictures below:
Is there anything I need to calibrate?
Am I overheating? Im using PLA from 200 ~ 210 C from different brands, same result everytime.
I have 2 cooling fans but that didnt seem to help?
    What can I do?
Thanks for any help or input!!!

Pictures don't show. Please use Imgur's function to provide BB Code for each image and paste the result in a new message.

A few things come to mind, extruding too hot and maybe a bit over-extruded. When doing overhanging planes at steep angles thinner layers will overlap more so, that can improve the look. The first two should be a much higher priority to look at.

Calibrate the extruder. That would be my first suggestion.

    (Calibrate extruder)

I tried that already, although its kind of hard to calibrate the bed without those screws in the Robo3D, I also tried reducing the flow to 80% and layer height by .1mm, but I am still getting rough results in pretty basic models.
    Any other suggestion?

    Try another slicer/host program

Good idea, i'll try the new Cura version, since I have been using 1.15.06 for a while now.

I would also suggest slowing down or otherwise increasing the amount of time spend on the short layers.

The Slic3r Prusa Edition may also be worth trying, they've got some pretty well dialed in filament settings that ought to translate over to use on the Robo if nothing is going seriously wrong with bed leveling or the stepper drivers.
