I saw them post about cleaning up the wiring some, but other than that, all these modifications are aftermarket, and obviously "do at your own risk."

nice, let us know how it worked out.
Out of curiosity why did you replace yours? did you notice it slipping also?

I have had the same thing happen to JDM 3 times where the filament comes out the side after kinking before the feed hole. I figured this bolt would help alleviate a possible repeat of that.

its possible that your not hot enough or having hot end jamming. In Jdm's case, he had prior jamming that wasn't completely removed and checked for ptfe damage so the hobb may not fix your issue.

have you done a temperature cal on your hot end to see what your hot end temps really are?

I figured it out, when I print 100m the head is way too close to the bed and the hot plastic has nowhere to go, so the feed hole kinks, I think I have fixed that, but it doesn't hurt to have a spare bolt laying around.

If that is the case then your bed height is probably too close to begin with you may look at readjusting it as well

just find a similar one that has a recess for the filament. Doesn't need to be that particular one. Just make sure it has the hobb in the right position.

    Thanks Cambo.

I've found this one. Would you mind taking a quick look and tell me if you think it would work?
    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/310711251...&ff3=1&ff11=ICEP3.0.0&ff12=67&ff13=80&ff14=54

He gives the option to have the groove at 25mm or 29mm.

Any idea which of the two?

(Regarding the depth, it should probably be "shallow" as we're using 1.75 filament, right?)

The seller mentions he can make a "custom" one if needed... So if you think it should be different in any way, just say so.

I would say the shallow hobb would be better for 1.75 filament (but how shallow?) the hobb i use is for 3mm filament and it works fine.

as far as the hobb position, could probably use either because you will end up using washers (spacers) to get the hobb centered over the filament hole.

They're cheap buy both and see which one works better for you.

I don't think Cambo will be using it for the Robo because, as we all know, he sold his Robo.

I wonder if he did, I'm starting to think he didn't, but that is just my honest opinion.

yep, im sure you'll be able to use both, its just a matter of using enough spacers to center the hobb over the filament hole. let us know how it works out.
