figured i'd start this one. Just started printing with mine and its cool but it takes alot of elbow grease to polish. Anyone notice anything while printing, tips and such?

    things I noticed(tips)
    1. the spool is heavy as it gets, make sure it can turn easily on the spool holder so there's not to much tension. For me my homemade spool holder had alot of resistance to turning so i had to watch it closely while it printed for fear of breaking or something similar.

    2. This stuff sticks to the bed really well in fact to well. for me i had to put a paint scrape at the base of the piece and tap it lightly with a hammer to get it off. (hairspray)

    3. printer spit this stuff out very very well at 205c and 50c.

Thanks for the warning. Will be printing something this weekend.

Hey @Printed Solid -- you getting any of the stone filament in?

Laybrick? Or has colorfabb launched a stone filament that I missed?
I'm a tad bit overhwhelmed with new products at the moment. Definitely a good thing, but I'm not taking on anything new unless it's from the suppliers I work with now. colorFabb, protoplant, and Taulman all have new stuff coming soon.

I've only done one print so far. It was on my Ultimaker with a 0.8mm nozzle. Printed really easy and sanded easily as well.
I would definitely expect it to stick well. Filled filaments in general have a very low tendency to warp. I'm guessing that heavy weight might make it even better for bronze. I'm also guessing bridging may be so-so for the same reason.

Here is the best source for info: learn.colorfabb.com

Wooden TRex, CF Tesla logo on left, bronze one on right.

Thought I would demo all of them today.

Well, I am not quite certain how/what to do to it. I tried taking a buffer wheel to it with a dremel. That didn't do much I then hit it with brasso (did even less). I may need to actually take a more abrasive buffing wheel to it.

It has mass/heft/weight to it, there is no doubt when you pick it up that it is metal.

Yea, the wood looks, smells, feels like wood. The CF is the same (looks, feels, weighs like CF)

OK, my son took some fine grit (500) sand paper to the back of that and with work, yea it can be polished up.
