I'm not a fan of using drill bits, it's to easy to damage a nozzle.

If you are just cleaning the nozzle either cook it or use a torch (forego oxygen, just propane).

Understood. Thank you for the insights. The way I had envisioned using the item was handheld instead of a drill. Also while the Hotend was heated a little higher than the filament last used. Will that also damage the tip?

The default nozzles are brass and can tolerate pretty high temperatures. obviously too hot = melted which is why I suggested propane not Oxy-MAP or acetylene. You can just bake it in an oven at 500f for a bit and it will melt out. I have a small convection oven that works.

Spare nozzles are a brilliant idea too :)

Drill bits are sharp and destructive... even when not used in a drill :)

Do not bother to ask me how I know you can melt a nozzle...
