disconecting my reprapdiscount XXL LCD

    I'm not too pleased with the reprapdiscount XXL LCD controller. No matter what I do it wants to start printing about 5-6 mm above the print bed. I want to take it out but cannot remember the orientation of the cable I removed to the SD card reader. I foolishly removed it without noting the orientation. Can someone lend me a hand on this.

    I also cant recall exactly how it use to be. That doesnt seem like it would have anything to do with the controller though. Id guess z endstops are mispositioned

    After you check the end stops, try this:
    You probably need to manually lower it by turning both lead screws and eyeballing it till it is level and at the bottom or close to the build plate.

    The thing I don't understand is why it doesn't do this when I run from a laptop? But that is beside the point. I'm removing the controller and want to hook up the SD card reader again and there are no keys to insure proper orientation and no labels on either board. I'd like to hook it back up properly.

    It will not break it if you plug it on backwards.
    So, plug it back onto the connector and try it.
    If it does not work flip the connector 180.
