Okay, I need some desperate help. I have all my E3D V6 parts ready to go and I have a few questions:

    1) It's my understanding I will have to modify the firmware due to the V6's thermister is different than the hexagon's version. If so, how hard is that to do? I looked at the E3D V6 thread in the mods section but I'm still unclear on how to modify the firmware.

    2) I also read the E3D V6 is either taller or shorter than the hex nozzle. If so, how will the computer know when to stop it from hitting the bed if it's longer than the hex nozzle? Wouldn't the auto leveling feature prevent this?

Hopefully I can get some answers soon. Thank you...

    1. one line is all you need to edit
    2. shorter but it doesn't matter as the extruder is the probe.

Don't over think and make this more difficult than it needs to be.

If you use that one DO NOT CHANGE THE THERMISTOR IN THE FIRMWARE.
Leave it set to stock settings.
