Unanswered Error in heat temp.

    Help! I did the e3d v6 install but am getting an error. My temp reads 385. What did I miss?? The fans work & the unit homes.

    The thermistor is NTC (negative temperature coefficient) so a really high reading is a really low resistance :)
    It should be around 100k at 25c.

    Given your numbers it looks like a short somewhere in there. An open circuit is the other way around (low temp).

    Sanity check your wiring to the thermistor from the RAMPS. The thermistor wires are very fine where they go into the hotend and they do not touch...

    Lift the wires from the RAMPS and read it there with a multimeter. See what you get.
