Powered-up this morning and one of the cooling fans is making a loud squealing noise. Taking a closer look, it's the tiny extruder cooling fan.
Anyone know of a quality replacement?
Should I submit a claim to RoBo 3D, should covered under the warranty?

My extruder fan was making noise and now failed. I noticed it quit when I couldn't print as the filament quit feeding. It looked like the heat from the head travelled up the extruder to the little brass nut on the top and melted the filament there. Made quite a mess. I submitted a request for replacement parts and Jerry with Robo3D says they are sending me one under warranty.

They're just 25mm replacement. You can get one from amazon.

R3D also should replace it if you've had your printer less than 6 months

My fan has now completely died in the middle of printing a Blackberry Z10 case for the wife.
R3D has been informed as the machine is well within warranty and two replacement 25x10mm have been ordered from Amazon.

My 25mm is kaput, but while I wait for the one I have ordered I would like to keep printing and I have a 40mm fan cooling my PC northbridge that I can do without for a couple of weeks.
Does anybody know of a method to mount a 40mm fan on the newer robo3d's?

lol, aint that a hitch; There are fan adapters, but I need to print them....
Yeah, I'm thinking I might be able to manage something temporary using some of the bits and pieces I have lying around.
    Time to get creative! :p

Hey guys, my fan is also on the way out, but I was told Robo3D is out of stock and that those fans suck anyway. I'm going to get a replacement from amazon. Do these fans plug right in to the existing wiring? Or do I need to snip and solder using the wiring from the stock fan?

Finally got my fan installed and I've been back up-and-running for about a week now. I'm just getting ready to print some custom designed (by yours truly) bathtub taps. :)
I am also going to print a fan adapter just in case lol!

EDIT: Haha! Funny thing happened.... My new fan went kaput as well!
Luckily I had managed to print the sides of the fan adapter, so I did some re-arranging today and got things working again.
I ended up removing the 40mm from the ramps and replacing the hotend fan with that using the adapter, and taking a coolermaster 60mm 12v fan I had kicking around from old PC parts and replacing the ramps fan with that one, wiring it into the 12v rail off the PSU.

    :)
