New user and for the life of me I cannot figure out why the extruder temperature will not get above the 100C level even though the set point is 210C. The PLA flows when you rotate the wheel, but that really does not mean anything without an accurate temperature.....

As a side note I must be doing something bizarre because every time I home the printer it just keeps going higher in Z+

Am I nuts or is this harder than it needs to be....especially documentation regarding homing and the default setup.

EDIT - I forgot to add that there is a god awful noise coming from the power supply, but nothing that I can see and the fan spins....

    have you modified the firmyare?
try and download new one and install it.

and for the Z axis make shure that both switch are activated by the X axis

Hmm the noisy power supply might be the issue. Measure the voltage coming off the power supply.

Otherwise your thermistor is loose inside the heater block and not getting a good reading. Especially if it's extruding filament at "100C"
