Answered Extruder upgrade (R1 Plus)

    Hi guys, i recently bought the Robo 3d R1 Plus printer and i wanted to know if i could upgrade the extruder? I havent had any problems with the extruder but i would like to have an extra one in hand.

    Don't mess with it until anything bad happens, obviously, but the go-to upgrade people have been doing is the e3d v6 hotend.

    PrintedSolid.com sells them, or you can buy directly from e3d-online.com

    I would be very careful about buying them anywhere else because there are a lot of knock-offs out there.

    If you want a spare on hand print the greg's wade reloaded extruder. The groove mount is fine.

    It's the same model as you're currently running and a good one.
