Yesterday I switch to a 1.75mm PLA filament and printed 4 items without a problem. Once I began to start on the next item, my extruder temperature started to drop. So this morning I tried to heat up the extruder and it started to heat slow then the temperature dropped again.

Do you think my tip is clog, which is causing the extruder not to heat up?

Never seen a clog have any similar effect on the extruder.

Check your GCode terminal in whatever software you are using to see if there are any errors being sent back from the printer.
You will need to review the entire GCode terminal/log.

No screws there on an R1+...

Only the R1 or Beta has screws there. The R1+ has a quick release plate that is help on by a small screw from underneath. Loosen that an the quick release will swing out and drop the extruder.

    This error:

"<-Error:Extruder switched off. Temperature fell too much during print! [24.904]"

Is discussed all over these forums. It is always problem with the thermsitor. Either the thermistor is loose/not connected to the hotend (in other words it can move around/wiggle when the extruder moves) or the thermistor is defective (cracked or broken) or there is a bad wire/conmection from the RAMPS board to the thermistor or the RAMPS board itself is defective.

It is usually the thermistor itself. Make sure it is mounted correctly and no bad wiring.
