I installed a E3D V6 hot end. It will extruded material when I click on E+ in MatterControl but it won't print. It is doing the self leveling and is touching the bed. Any ideas what could be wrong? FYI: Material is PLA, extruder heat is 220° and the bed is 50°.

    Two suggestions:
    1) Try another slicer/host program. It may be a mattercontrol issue.

    2) Read theough the gcode terminal to see if there are any errors raised when you start the print.

I have tried .2 through .5mm z offsets but still no luck. Any thoughts on which new slicer I should try?

The default offset is -1.0 mm :) start there. More negative is further from the bed.

If you want to keep with free slicers try repetier host.
