Is there any photos , drawings showing how the filament will feed to the printer head?
Would like to know what filament type holder I will need to be position to hold the spool or coil filament on the printer thanks.

In the pictures and videos, I've seen loops of filament hanging above. Because the top and sides can be removed and the printer still used, I think a spool holder either has to be free standing, or be able to attached to the base. Thingiverse and GrabCAD have lots of versions of free standing spool holders.

I was just going to use a pole in a cast iron umbrella holder with appropriate nylon bushings positioned over pipe clamps to fit the spools. That way it takes up little space and can hold multiple spools. :D

I believe there will be a slot in the top of the printer for the filament to go through, not sure if there will be a spool holder spot.

Thanks, I've kinda of seen the pics of the filament just looped and hanging as you stated.. Just want to see/hear if any additional changes or get direct info.. I'm designing my own filament holder just wanted the info for the design aspect of it.

    Ok. From the Robo3D Team:
It is something that can be printed externally. Most filament holders work better when they are not attached to a unit because there is a certain way that the filament needs to be pulled from.

    ---
In Short. The Filament holder is external. Not included. Filament goes "straight in" vertically from the top of the printer. So you would want the filament reel to be above the printer most likely. The team plans on making a design, and available from Thingiverse. Not promising anything, at this time, but that is the current update on Filament Feeding.

So, best practice (to avoid loose filament entering the build platform) would seem to be having the feed above the printer. Back to work on my suspension pole idea!

Hmm. I plan on setting the printer right under a cabinet in my garage, so I'll probably print a few pieces that I can mount under the cabinets that would allow me to just snap a spool right into them.

I planned on mounting a spool holder on the wall above the printer. Maybe similar to a toilet paper holder.

Info is getting better... Heres another one.. how many lbs of force is the printer head unit pulling the filament.
We know smooth flow is the greatest, but the printer head mechanism should have a min./max lbs of force that it pulling the filament in so if on a spool it should be as much as free rotating as possible.
