There are a lot of people running around today, although not all of them are interested in 3D printing.

In what part of the world are these printers for sale? How much for the R1+ ?

I've never used a volcano but I understand that they are designed for faster printing. How do they allow the machine to print faster just because it's longer than a regular nozzle? Wouldn't the tip of the nozzle be cooler than the side near the heat block where it's connected to? I would think that the temperature setting in the slicer would have to be higher to compensate.

The heater block and nozzle are longer making a longer melt zone so you can use larger nozzles without having to raise the temp crazy high and keep a constant flow of melted filament so you don’t grind out filament. Kind of simplified explanation but pretty much sums it up :)

Thanks for your prompt reply. Would the volcano help trying to print clear/transparent filament? Regular nozzles turn clear filament into a milky color.

Not sure. Typically the less layers the better, which a volcano excels at large nozzles. Can be don’t with a regular hotend and a large nozzle, likely just slower
