Solved Heater cartridge not heating up

    Ok, I have been having a lot of problems lately and now this has happened. I have ordered a new thermistor but now the heating cartridge will not heat up. Is it because the thermistor doesn't work? What should I do?

    If you don't have a thermistor at all right now, I bet the arduino board logic will not heat hotend. You'll have to wait for an expert to chime in but that is how i'd write the code to protect from damaging something.

    @Ziggy has done the most digging into the firmware and I would bet he can answer this.
    I suspect though you are right and it will not heat up without a thermistor reading.
