    Hi!
I've had the robo3d R1+ for around a month, and I'm very happy with it.
I started with a Davinci Jr, then a Monoprice Maker and also used the Mendel printer multiple times.
I wish it came with some of the usual upgrades already like the E3D v6 which seems to be a must have and also a quieter power source.

Here are some of the 3d prints I've made:

After this month I noticed that I get clogs more often now, I can easily unclog it with a wire but it will get clogged again in the next print, is it time for a new extruder? does it have a lifetime?

Hi Hiram, glad to see you made it to the forum!

Are you using an oiler with pla? I have a few extra hexagons running around if it comes down to that.

Yeah! One of the emails finally worked when I used the "resend confirmation" option, so finally I'm here.
Yes I was using an oiler but I'll try to see if I can fix it, otherwise I will shoot you an email, I was not sure if maybe I could do something else before swapping the hot end.

Probably you need to remove the nozzle and burn out the jam, then season the hotend and likeky it will be better. Is the small fan running on your hotend ?

Swapping the nozzle is the extent of maintenance really on a Hexagon.
(cleaning it and re-seasoning it as @Geof has detailed may help too)

    The outside? Who cares :)
If the inside is that dirty ... then yep you got issues.

I was able to clean the nozzle... BUT
I accidentally broke a wire when I was trying to put the nozzle back in ...
    IMG_20170304_192027.jpg

The reason was because the hotend lost its thread and the nozzle screw wasn't going through very well... so it looks like I need a new one!

Yea those thermistor wires are itty bitty. If you get ahold of robo they will likely warranty you parts
