Answered Help with my z axis stopping

    I just changed all of my stepper driver motors on my arduino board because I was having problems with my y and x axis. So I just change all 3. My x axis homes right now but my z axis won't move right. If i jog my Z my 1mm up or down it moves fine. When I jog it by 10mm it sticks. The movement is sticky it bogs down. I put my old driver back in and now I have the same problem.

    What exactly did you change? The stepper motor or the stepper driver?

    Acts like the stepper motor is not getting enough current from the driver card.

    I change the stepper driver. How do I change the current and what should it be?

    There are very complicated ways or get a plastic or ceramic screwdriver and adjust the pot on the stepper driver a bit and test. When it acts normal your good, if that motor gets hot hot to the touch on you test print when done back off the pot just a bit.

    Or put heat sinks on them :)
    That is what i did on the delta...
