    Just bought me a Robo R1 have played with a Makerbot when I was in college so i'm new but not totally new to 3D printing. Wanted to stop by introduce myself and also ask besides acetone is their anyway to get prints completely smooth? Thanks in advance.

    Get your printer dialed in and they will be really sooth. For perfectly smooth (ABS) acetone is the answer and for PLA ... nope. There really is no answer. I have seldom needed to have them any smoother than what the printer can produce when well setup.

    Any tips on getting it dialed in just right, I plan on printing the spool holder, z axis, and feet upgrades. Setting wise is all new to me though

    MEK can polish PLA to some degree.

    Supposedly Chloroform can as well if you happen to have that lying around
