    To each their own.
I have a small pile of Hexagons from people I have helped swap out to E3D.

Inherently the Hex is a fine hotend and an upgrade from the old J-Head (which is functional, but has limits).
However, the E3D is superior quality and easier to service.
The question becomes "how often are you going to mess with the hotend?"
I think for most folk is answered by -- "once if I am lucky"

Others like myself are always having to swap nozzles or temperature sensors for various projects/filaments and it is just easier to work with the E3D. I actually have two so that I can have a completely different arrangement ready to swap in with a few screws and connectors.

Well, I have never had a jam with a Hex, but the first one that came with the Robo R1 developed a bad leak between hot head and cooling fin assy. I can remove or install the Hex in 5 min. Hay, I always keep my options open.

See you had a leak/ooze on the hex and instead of just being able to clean it you had to replace the whole thing. With the v6 you could take it apart and clean the mess.

Let's just call this thread finished.
Everyone has an opinion, we have seen most of them.

In the end, whatever works for you.
