Answered How do i clean the filament gear

    My printer is not putting down enough filament it comes extremely thin for the first layer the nozzle is not clogged because if i use matter control to make the printer extrude it fine and when i take my filament out it all ground up please help quick this is my second day with the printer

    Hi. Remove the two spring loaded bolts where you feed filament. Be careful they dont shoot across the room. This allows the hinge to flip down and you can see the hobbled bolt if the teeth are dirty use a toothpick or o ring pick and clean each tooth. Double check you dont have a clog. If all good season the hotend with canola oil and try again

    Extremely thin may also mean the nozzle is too close during the first layer.
