I have tried going into the print to move it and then saved it. From there I would take the g-code and put it into an sd card and when it prints the first layer it prints partially off of the heated bed. What could be the issue here? am i doing this wrong?

    *using mattercontrol

Check your startup GCode and adjust the value for the M565:

M565 Z-1.0 ; set the offset for auto-leveling mechanism more negative ->further from bed

Adjust it in small increments (0.1 or 0.01)

how specifically this is done in mattercontrol I can't say.

However less negative ->closer to the bed...
