So I have a r1 with heated bed and I set it up and we'll my prints are complete crap. I've tried reaching leveling it multiple times, but it keeps on messing up. I am a beginner when it comes to fixing mechanical things like this so if someone could help me figure this out that'd be most appreciated! IMAG0461.jpg

Looks like your steps per mm are wrong. Does your printer have a cover on the bottom?

Under your configuration tab, for eeprom settings, whats your steps for the Z

Looks to me like your Z rods are binding. Do you have any lubricant (anything besides WD40)? Most people prefer lithium spray or PTFE based lubricants like SuperLube

So are my setting correct? If not any suggestions on what I should change about them? And once I get some lithium spray what do I do with it, where do I spray it? Sorry I am a complete noob when it comes to this stuff

Yeah your setting looked fine. What I think is happening is the threaded rod and coupler nut are binding due to friction. Lubricate the threaded rod, either by doing a controlled spray at the top and letting it run down, or spray inside the coupler nut and then run it up and down.

I'm assuming right now it makes a horrible squealing noise.

There isn't really squealing noise. Could it be something else? Should the Z steps per mm be 2560? or 80 like the x? and is the E correct also?

It was trying to print from about 2 mm away from the platform, and the extruder started to clump up. This is what happens every time I try and print something form Matter Control.

Even when it comes close it doesn't look like it's extruding enough material. This picture is if I put the .stl in sli3r and generate the g-code from there IMAG0463.jpg

That's the first layer, on all my prints it prints an okay raft then the actual first three outer layers look like that, I'm pretty sure they are supposed to be completely solid walls but they aren't IMAG0464.jpg

That's not the first layer. That's at least 5-10 layers up.

What temp are you printing at
