Edit: now that I think about it, it's probably the table that is misaligned. It's printing right now and it is in ABS. it's unbelievably fast and doing so well.

So I just got my printer and am getting everything set up, but I noticed something that I thought I would bring up. It looks almost as though the front part that holds up the extruder and hot end Is ever so slightly bent to the right. Is this really bad? I'll try and show in a picture, but it's pretty hard. And if you look, the hot end looks a little slanted as well.

Maybe I'm being overly conscious about it and am overstating it.

Another odd thing is that when I went to print my first item, it just shut off. Its good now though. And the y axis cord was under the bed, so they're kind of separated instead of the flat one wire.

Anyone know what screw this is (length etc). I'm not sure if it came off going through my first print or if it was missing from delivery. [IMG]

Is it smart for me to print without it?

What screw do you think it missing?
There is only one (for the Y belt) on the rails/tray for the bed.
    One at each end...

Maybe you mean something else I am not seeing.
Circle it or something if that is the case...please.

Here it is. It has 2 screws in the back, but the right in the front is missing.

:) Lift the bed and look.
Mine looks exactly like yours, you are not missing anything.

Wow. Crap I look like a moron. I sent in a part request though I did tell them if they can just tell me the screw, I don't mind going to a store and getting it. Still embarrassing lol

    Thank you btw!

If you just look from the outside it is an easy assumption to make.

I had a few more really quick questions. The x axis has a loud growl grinding noise. It seems to only do it when it's at the right side of the z axis. Is this normal? Then both z axis wobble quite a bit.

Also are the z axis switches supposed to be so loose?

Do not know, could be bearings. Could be normal. I can't 'hear' it.
Make sure the axis moves manually, smoothly. If so I wouldn't worry about it.

Again, probably normal if you mean the threaded rods.

No clue, I do not have an R1, I have a Beta. Someone else can chime in on this. If it is working it is probably correct.

Grinding noises are normally the belts slipping. This can happen if something obstructs the path before the carriage (whichever Axis it is) hits the end stop switch (when moving towards home) or the end of the bed (this is a calculated number) when moving away from home.

There isn't a screw here. The part is used on both ends so the holes are in two locations to accommodate that. The reason there's one in the back is there's a clip to hold the wires in place so they do get damaged

That noise might be when it makes a move without extruding filament. It does it real fast and causes a 'squeal'. This is normal.

I did notice something in the first photo that is different from my R1, You have an adjustment bolt on the left front of the carriage where I have a left drive limit switch.Perhaps a design change. Your limit switch must be mounted on the left screw block, I guess.

Non-print move speed can be different/faster.
