Unanswered LCD controller from printed solid

    I have the XXL LCD controller and printed solid, it worked fine for a while but I moved and didn't use my printer for a bit. When I restarted it it asked me to update the matter control software and the LCD screen is now blue With white boxes for the letters,. How do I reprogram the LCD controller or did I fry it.

    Also sounds like the contrast adjustment is maxed out. Turn that down :)

    I'll check the connections underneath maybe something moved or came loose when I transported it

    I think he wanted a link to the exact stuff you downloaded.
    The version is meaningless for which printer you are trying to load it into :)

    Robo R1 plus got it last April
    I downloaded it from the matter control window from the application on my desktop

    That will not help you normally. In this case it does not matter since the XXL version does not require a Firmware change to work.
    Anything else that does will require you to manually download the source and then edit and upload it. This is why @Geof wanted to know which one you were using (it is easy to use the wrong one).

    In this case it is either the Contrast adjustment needs to be tweaked or the LCD has died.
    Recheck your cables to it of course...

    Yessir, not sure where mattercontrol pulls that firmware from but could be causing you some issues if it happened only after updating the firmware.
