    Hi guys,

I have replacement linear bearings that I need to swap out on my R1 + due to flying ball bearings when I remove the carriage to work on the hot end. I already have the replacement bearings, but not sure how to remove and replace. Are there any good videos or instructions on this form anywhere? I did a search but didn't see anything obvious.

    Thanks!

The ones under the bed on the Y rails are easy. Just remove the mounts and they will come right out. The X carriage is a little more work.

Don't even bother with the forum search. Go to Google and enter your search then add: site:community.robo3d.com

    Works like a charm :)

    Unfortunately, it's the X carriage - sigh...

OK, then you need to build a bearing press :) There is some discussion on how in that thread.

If your printer still works you can just print an entire now X carriage and move everything :)
