    I have kept the default setting. But it seems like there is too much support matiral and its hard to remove.

    Not wanting to try the trial and error approach with long print.

    I thought I would ask for tips or a glossary of the settings and what they are best suited for.
    Is there such a resources

    Hello. I would recommend using CuraEngine in MatterControl. The reason is that support material in matter control is "almost" non-configurable. To change this, go to:

    Setting and Control->Options->Applications(SliceEngine).

    Based on my experience, the default matterslice is not that optimized for Robo3D (at least in my own experience). If you really want a good stable and constant print with support material, Simplify3D is the way to go, though it will cost you about $150 or so. If you want something close to Simplify3D, try Cura 2.0. Though, you do have to play around with these slicers.
