MatterControl 1.1

I have used Repetier since day one, sometimes Cura but mostly Repetier.
I downloaded MatterControl a while back but never played with it enough to use it. I just downloaded the new version 1.1. and it looks like it has more control features that I like.

Has anyone used it enough to point out any pros or cons?

 

cant get it to work, it now slices for me. But its waiting for extruder to hit 0c whatever i sett in the settings..
I also get stuck on fetching target firmware for some reason.

 

This is an issue that I've been having as well. So far, I've just stayed with repetier, but would like to get MatterControl up and running at some point.

 

Also, does MC have any form of "emergency stop"? I have twice been forced to hit the switch to shut down the robo.

 

@Mrimstad @alonsoa Are you using the current version from the RoBo site (build 1.1.0.2207)? If so what does that start gcode say? (found under 'Advanced Control' > 'Slice Settings' > 'Printer' > 'Custom G-Code')

 

I downloaded MatterControl from the link provided on the Robo website. The problem I've had is with communication with the printer.

 

Make sure you flow the instruction properly install the driver, then it will ask you to disconnect the printer And hit continue, the it asks you to plug the printer in the hit connect.

If you leave the printer connected through the whole proccess the printer will not connect.

While an emergency stop in mc would be really handy, I've noticed that if you do Disconnect - Connect that effectively emergency stops the printer.
