I found that I am missing some magnets to hold down the heated bed. Does anyone know the size/type or a link to where I can purchse replacements? I have searched through the forums but cant seem to find a difinitive answer. Thanks in advance.

heck.. maybe they're 1mm? 1.5? I can't tell how thick. and like I said. my caliper battery is dead. Can't measure that accurately.

In theory with auto level it shouldn't matter so long as you replace them as a pair. Either all fronts, lefts, rights, or back and even if the bed is at an angle it should print...... In theory.

You can also use 3/8" by 1/8". Make sure they're not stuck in the hole instead of the bed

How are you so certain they're missing?

Because there are 2 on each corner except one corner only has one magnet stuck to the bed and not in the hole. and the wire from the bed heater keeps pushing the bed up on that corner when it moved.

Yeah but it's outrageously expensive. It was 100 something for some makerbot brand glow in the dark pla.

Well still .. better than anything within an hour of me. Zero "fry's" like stores. We have HHgreg and best buy. Heck. there were only 2 radio shacks and they were the tiny 99% phone store ones.

I often have to travel to CA for work and love me some Fry's. Closest one here is up outside Atlanta, I make the pilgrimage when I can.

thank goodness for internet shopping. I also enjoy a bit of cannibalizing from things I find at the goodwill.

Speaking of which. found an old pre-war westinghouse fan in need of some re-conditioning.

I buy almost all of my filament from Fry's. They have makerbot brand yes. They also have Shaxon (which is what I use), MG Chemicals and Vellemen. The Shaxon is only $24 for 1kg. The only issue with the Shaxon is that most of their PLA colors are only translucent. Not a huge deal. Go to their website and check if they have it in stock at your store. If they do you just need to find it in the store. In my store it's by the sata wires and stuff. Not by the 3D Printers.
