    Hi all

I wanted to share my first woodfill experience on the Robo3D

Today I have picked up some colorfabb woodfill filament.

I have drawed a simple diabolo with round and squared edges.

    Hotend used: E3D V6 0.4mm nozzle
    Hotend temp: 205degrees
    Bed temp: 55degrees
    Layer: 0.3mm
    Print speeds between 40-60mm/s max.
    First layer 40mm/s

As my experience with ninjaflex, I felt I had to used somewhat the same settings for WoodFill too.
    Constant speeds, No retracts.
Even when it goes oozing, let it ooze (Woodfill will ooze!!) you can peel it off very easily. and afterwards it looks amazing.

Very nice! Woodfill is a little unusual, and very different from ninja, in that it benefits from a higher volumetric flow rate. In your case, you achieved this with a 40-60mm/s speed AND a thick layer. If you want to try printing with it at higher resolutions, you will probably need to run it at faster speeds (which might be tricky on the robo).

If you have some wood stain, you should give that a try. Awesome effects.

By suggesting higher temps, what range? Would I be able to print with woodfill if using a stock Early version Robo3D printer? I can get higher temps in the 210-220 range.

I didn't suggest a higher temperature. 205, or even lower is great. It is wood in PLA. I've printed with it quite a bit on my first generation Kickstarter PLA only Robo with a stock hot end and no issues.

@Bjorn, what's that on your bed that you're printing on?

    Nice work by the way.

In my (limited) experience, printing it hotter ends up printing it darker.
    Your Mileage May Vary.

Ive always been nervous to try this. I have some, but worried that it may clog the extrude tip with wood bits, am I just being silly??

I have printed this with 0.2mm nozzle without any issue..
So a robo with 0.4mm I see no problem..

Did we switch from talking about woodfill to ninjaflex? I can't imagine printing wood with a 0.2mm nozzle. I've heard back from many who have tried it with a .35 and had near immediate clogs.

I have never gone below .4 and IMHO it printed best with a .6 for me.
