I put the material in the place it should go and the material is bent and then chewed up by the hobed bolt.

Are you able to push the filament all the way up to the heated nozzle and have it extrude? It can be a bit difficult to thread filament in my experience.

It seems like the extruder is jammed because the filament starts to get pulled in the it starts to bend and then the hobed bolt chews it up

But if you do it by hand it works fine?

Make sure your hotend fan is running and maybe add an inline oiler.

You need to make sure you're getting into the nozzle. It can be a bit tricky. Ensure your filament is straightened out before pushing it in

You could have some filament broken of in the cold end of the extruder

Did it ever work or is this the first time extruding filament?

Pull back on the level for tensioning the filament and shine a light down the hole and see if you can see filament.

If you see filament you might need to undo the 2 screws at the bottom side of the greg's wade and the hexagon will drop out. You can then undo the brass screw at the top and pull out the filament

Good to hear. Yeah those look like M3 hex caps. A nice improvement on their part. Your tool kit should have included the hex driver for it if anyone else reads this.
