So I just got the printer and the extruder is not working it is for fact heating up and I can load filament and spin the gear and make it extrude but when I try and start a print or go in the settings and press E plus to extruder it wont do anything,So either the stepper motor is bad or a loose connection,Where should I be looking? I am a little lost so an easy step by step would be great thanks.

Edit,So I have just traced the wires to back to the board everything is plugged in and seated correctly. How can I check the voltage?

You can't print/extrude below 195 per the firmware. You need to heat it up to at least 200C and try from there.

Just figured that out =/ On the Plus side all my screws and wires are nice and neat =)

One question,In MC I chose the Dog Tag preset,When I print it slices but its not doing the auto leveling. Am I missing something?

Yes heat up first before printing if using MatterControl.

Do you have Automatic Print Leveling Disabled?

Feel free to message me over skype as well.

In MC yes I do. When I start the print the printer will just go in the middle of the print bed and warm up and start printing. It wont probe the bed at all. I havent messed with any of the start g code of anything.

And you selected R1 for printer type?

I've heard of that happening but never really figured out the cause. Usually deleting the printer profile and making a new one will help.

Make sure in Slice Settings > Printer with show all settings checked that under custom G-code there's a G29 command in the Start G-code section

There's a folder in Local for mattercontrol as well. All the profiles are stored in there. You shouldn't need to reinstall for this

I think its still doing it, I homes the extruder right in the middle of the build plate, the extruder touches the glass and it raises about a MM and now its continuing to heat up to temp. Is that its auto level? I thought it was supposed to touch the corners?

Looking at the G-code it goes:
    Code:
    G28 ; home all axes
    G1 Z5 F5000 ; lift nozzle
M109 S[temperature] ; set the extruder temp and wait
G28 Z0 ; Home Z again in case there was filament on nozzle
    M565 Z0
    G29 ; probe the bed

So it heats up, then touches the bed, then runs the autolevel, then the print will start

    Patience is a virtue :)

It starts to heat up a bit,Then homes to the middle of the bed, touches the bed, comes up then stays put and continues to heat up,then it starts the print. It does no auto level at all

can you take a screen shot of the slicer settings tab.

That will show firmware and what the auto leveler is set to.
