I'll try to provide as much information as possible. The printer just arrived this morning. I got it unboxed, plugged in, and connected. Now, Repetier is giving me the seemingly too-common problem of "commands waiting."

I set up the printer in Repetier as described in the Getting Started section of the Robo3D web site. I've tried homing everything and no go. I also tried the reset button on the board and that didn't work either. I'm running Windows 7 and have the printer hooked up directly through USB to the PC. When I plug in the USB there is a flash of green lights from the board, but the fan does not run. The bed also does not heat up.

I'll keep looking around for solutions, but I wanted to post and see if anyone could help.

    Did you install the driver?

Yes, I have. I've followed everything on the Getting Started guide up to using Manual Control in Repetier.

Direct connected into your computers motherboard usb ports?

Did you download the repetier version off the robo 3d site?

Try reinstalling the USB driver and rebooting.

Have you gone into Device Manager to verify that the device is showing up properly and to also verify that you are using the correct USB port in Repetier?

Also, try plugging it into a different USB port.

He said he could connect but not control, which to me sounds like a driver issue.

OK, so making a little progress.
    - USB is plugged in to a motherboard port. (already was)
    - Re-installed USB/COM driver
    - Reinstalled Repetier (Robo3D version)

The bed is heating up now. Still no movement, however.

You hit the home button and it doesn't move?

Yep. No movement at all from any of the home axis buttons including the "home all."

That's a common error. You might try doing a estop and seeing if that helps. Are you able to raise the extruder temp?

I turned on the extruder head and got this:
15:55:48.207 : Error:No Line Number with checksum, Last Line: 187
    15:55:48.207 : Error:Line Number is not Last Line Number+1, Last Line: 187
    15:55:48.207 : Resend: 188

Did an estop, and tried again. The head still isn't heating, but the bed is still responding. Loose wire somewhere?

    Sonofa...

All I did was TOUCH one of the wires on the board and the fan started spinning. I hit the "home all" button and everything came to life. Extruder is heating as well.

Thanks for the help, Mike. :)

lol might be a loose connections. Things might have shook loose in shipping. Check underneeth and make sure nothing dangling or can be easily pulled out. All the vibrations during printing will ensure it does if you don't.

It's strange, it wasn't really "loose." It's like it just needed a little nudge. Anyway, I've finished the extruder test run (works) and now I'm trying to get the test print (5mm cube stairs) to print. First run wasn't successful, but that was because I needed to adjust my z-axis. Warming up for run #2 now.
