I really want to start using some flexible material and I hear a lot of stories with mods needed to use it. I looked on thingiverse for them but come up empty handed most of the time.

    Any advice

You can get away by drilling out the extruder with a 4 mm drill bit and using a PTFE tube with an OD of 4 mm and an ID of 2 mm shove it into the extruder just below the hobbed bolt and make sure it extends all the way to the bottom of the hobbed bolt. I have not done this myself since I have no interest in flexible filaments, but others on this forum have.

In fact, keep going past the hobbed bolt (make a notch for the filament so the bolt can grab it).

Works fine. You do have to print slow... no, slower... slower still :)

For NinjaFlex 20mm/sec or less works for me and up to 40mm/sec for SemiFlex.

I haven't used NinjaFlex but SemiFlex was very easy to print, I did nothing in terms of modifying the extruder. Just slowed the print way down then when I thought that was good, I went a bit slower. Good layer cooling will help as well, since adding dual layer cooling fans I've noticed much less stringing on my prints.

I wasn't brave enough to forego using the tube with SemiFlex, but I can belive it can be made to work.
