I have had a request from one of my clients for a solution for custom made hearing aid implants. The sort of plastic that is used is otoplastic which is quite soft and malleable.

What I was wondering is would it be possible to use a Robo3D to print using the soft Otoplastic? Or if not would it be possible to mod the device to make it possible.

I figure if yuu can print in wood and nylon it should at least be possible?

Hey Alex, it depends on a few things. Temperature is the biggest one. Any details on that?

depends on the material, if its too soft to to feed through an extruder, than it won't work.
nylon and wood are not soft plastics.

Still trying to get some data/specs which is proving harder than initially thought.
