I know there is another topic covering this, but since there are 999 different categories on this forum I can no longer find it. Any ideas? Temps are right, everything looked great....just stopped. After an hour and a half of printing, just had 10 minutes to go or so.

I had that happen to me the other day. No idea. Had to do an Estop

I think it's a communication issue between the computer and the arduino board. Has this happened multiple times?

Only time it has happened, but i agree 100% with that guess. Not sure how to prevent other than LCD/sd card combo

I had the same issue twice the other day myself. Just stopped in the middle of printing a Cura-sliced object in Repetier, no errors, no apparent reason, on two different objects. I switched from using my netbook to a more powerful laptop and haven't had it happen since - but then I had also been using that netbook since I started printing and hadn't had that issue so... who knows.

Side note, Repetier was minimized. Don't know if that had anything to do with it, but was only thing different. Just figured I would add that.

PC is pretty stout, shouldn't have been an issue.

Shouldn't have mattered if Repetier was minimized. Only thing I can think of is the OS thought that it would be ok to swap out the Repetier process since it's in the background

Possible that it put the usb ports to sleep after a certain amount of time.

But I constantly moved the mouse so it wouldn't turn screensaver on.

tried it again and it went past that point..so I really don't know.

well your usb ports can still deactivate. I mean they shouldn't, but I've seen weirder things.

are you on a custom built rig or did you buy it?

If it is a Windoze box, you probably want to go into the advanced power options and look at the usb settings. It normally defaults to enabled for selective power saving. You want to turn that off. Otherwise, Windoze will shut those ports down whenever it feels like it.
