Just and email to them, using the support button on their web page where you put your name and explanation of the issue. I tried that first before coming to the forum for help and you were nice enough to chime in.

Hey just wanted to give you an update. I have been trading emails back and forth with the support team. I believe I finally figured out the issue. You were right, I believe it was the mini board that was bad. I swapped them as you suggested again and figured out how to recalibrate the printer so it moved correctly. Thank you. Ultimately it was you who helped the most. One question, is there something special to these mini boards (polulu or whatever)? I asked them to swap the extra one for me so I had a backup, but they haven't responded. Can I just buy one of those chips from anywhere or does it need to be specifically programmed for the ROBO3D printer?

Probably the same way you were trying to explain how to do it, but I wasn't understanding you correctly. I would hit the home button for X and right before the head jammed its way to zero, I would trigger the switch to make it stop. I would then inch it over by .1 MM until it rested tightly again the switch. Then I would tell it to travel to the right as far as it would go and hit the switch again right before it jammed. Also the reason why it was moving in reverse is the cable was backwards....O_O. I sear I put it back exactly how I found it....Either way I am up and printing. Does the color of the polulu board matter? You wouldn't have any extras would you?

I was talking about the reverseing but I am glad you got that cable thing fixed that puzzled me no I don't have any extra right now they are all needed for projects I am working on
The colors may just indicate versions not sure

Do you have a specific place where you buy them? I was doing some searching and cannot seem to find the ones you showed me in the picture (from original response) as well as what is in the robo3D.

Well it helped. I appreciate it. You know, when this thing works, the print quality is quite outstanding.

Now that is some crazy talk! Mixing layers? Without messing your print up? I couldn't do that. Stuff would melt all over the place while I was trying take the filament out of the extruder. o_O!

    So it goes like this:
    Edit the g-code:
Add nozzle move away and print pause at a layer you need to swap your fimalemt.
meanwhile change your filament while print is in pause mode
After that line, add command to move nozzle to its original location and click resume.

Is this how you did it ?
