    Hi!

I upgraded my roboprinter with an e3d V5 hotend. When i was printing with 0.4mm nozzle everything worked fine. But now i changed the nozzle to 0.25mm. I configured the nozzle in printersettings and i used the right settings in SLIC3R. (Screenshot)
    printersettings.JPG
Everything is working fine (outlines, nonsolid infill,..) exept solid infills. For solid infills the printer extrudes much to less filament. (nearly nothing)

    Edited:
    I tryed to print 0.1mm, 0.2mm and 0.25mm layers with different tempretures (190° - 215°) using PLA.
    Heatbed @50°

    Always the same problem.

Has anyone an idea what i can do?

    Thanks in advance!

    Greetings from Austria
    Mike

How fast are you trying to print?
Did you test to see if that print nozzle under/over extrudes (often they do)?

I would suggest doing the extrusion test to see if it is extruding the correct amount and slow things down a bit as well.
You can adjust the extrusion rate/percentage to account for any difference in the nozzle. One of mine was off by 30% (in that case it was over extruding by 30%) you might be off as well.

Do you have the extrusion rate for infill set to something off under the advanced settings?

    Thx 4 reply.

@mark: I tried to print only a bit slower than default. Will try to slow it a bit more down and test some diffrent settings with extrusion rate.
@Printed Solid : Yes, i testet a view different Settings, but i will test some more. My feeling was, the smaller the value, the bigger the problems. But maybe it works in combination with other Extrusion rates.
@Mike: Will take pics at the next tests. (not sure if i can test it today)

    thx guys!

    Hi,

I also had real under-extrusion and hobbed bolt slipping/polluting problems the past days - for me the final solution was so close but it took days to recognize it... I printed different PLA at max. 215 degree celsius - at higher speeds at 30-50mm/sec. then the underextrusion problems at 0,2mm layer hights.

Since I print now at 230degree for speeds>30mm/sec. all problems gone... and a very good print quality even at 50mm/sec. print speed (E3D V6 hotend, 0,4mm nozzle)

Try again at 225-230 degree celsius...

now i've tryed many new settings according to your tips. Quality got better. But then i recognized that my heatblock is loose.
so i tightend it again ... and maybe damaged it, because it looks crooked...

damn... Need to tear everything apart... :/

I hoped they were over with the loose screws problems.
