    Hi everyone.

    I've been printing pretty successfully for the last few months on an R1+ that I've had just over a year now. I started to print today and noted that my heat bed isn't heating up. I did the following:

    1. Sent M999 command - no joy.
    2. Turned printer off and back on - no joy.
    3. Shut down S3D, then my Mac, then restarted all - no joy.
    4. Closed S3D and started Matter Control - same thing.
    5. Disconnected printer, flipped it, pulled off bottom cover, and tightened connections - no difference.
    6. Installed a new spare print bed that Robo gave me months ago - no joy.

    Out of ideas now, but I'm thinking the RAMPS board may have a problem or there's a fuse I don't know about somewhere (at least I read something about a polyfuse, but I don't know where it is on the board. BTW, the thermistor is not a problem because the bed is not heating up at all.

    Advice? I'm not sure how to check voltage on this but I'm assuming you check for 12v at the screw terminals.

    Thanks in advance!
    Terry

    Hi terry, the most likely cause is a ramps failure at Q3. Do you have a spare ramps board?

    Unfortunately, no. I figured it would be a ramps failure but hoped it would be something a little easier to correct.

    I'd start with the ramps board.

    Are you sure it is an R1+ and not an R1? It makes a difference on how easy it is to just replace the RAMPS :)

    @Geof is an expert.

    White LEDs, quick release plate, canister thermistor on the hexagon, integrated lead screws and a custom ramps = r1+

    Blue LEDs, couplers on the z rods etc = r1

    Lol @mark tomlinson if I'm an expert we are all screwed ;)
