robo3d front mount fan adapter

Work in progress, i've been trying out different mounting designs for a part cooling fan.

I made this for a front mounted fan, slides into the front x-carriage slots and then use m2 screw to hold in place, Designed for 40mm fan.

Is this fan for printing PLA?

 

yes or abs or whatever needs a fan.

I need to make one more adjustment to the file and i'll post it on the forum. Forgot leave clearance for the x-axis endstop screw, but simple fix.

Looks good, Do you have a link to where you got the fans? (the one for the nozzle too)

 

any 40mm fan will work for the mount.
this is a higher cfm fan im using.

this is a 5vdc fan, you will need to get a voltage regulator to run it also (7805 5vdc regulator from radioshack)

 

okay i wanted to get a little more fancy so i added a grill.

 

what program are you using for your cad designs?
