I also find it kinda funny that they sponsor a contest on Reddit but they are not even active there, the "webneur" guy that was spamming their failed jumpstartcity campaign has had their account deactivated (their "social media" guy maybe?). Oh well, I will never under stand what goes through the heads of the guys over at RoBo HQ.

Which is kinda funny since the internet got them to where they are now. They are not some company that sells $10,000 machines to big company's, they sell to the hobbyist, the hobbyist that will join 3D printing communities online and will ask for help online, not get some employee to figure out the printer for them. It seems more like they just got into the 3D printing business for the possibility to make some money, not because they actually want to get involved and give back to the community where they got their ideas from.

It's hard to say really. I think they had an ambition to build a printer then people probably mentioned kickstarter to them.

Apparently they are going back to try again (given this AMs FB post). Good luck, but at this point I think the pool is poisoned...

We should get a list of questions going to ask them, and just post them all at once as a "These are questions from your forum you never visit" post.

Why don't you post on your forums?

Are you truly open source when you don't collaborate on improvements with your community?

Why did you change the Y-Axis from linear bearings and rods found in the original pro-type that was shown to kickstarters, to drawer sliders?

If some one could ask this it would be great, I'll be at work :(
