Oct 8, 2019 8:44 AM - Ray Fox: R2: I think there is a problem with the y limit switch. When try to home, it grinds and makes an awful noise.
Oct 8, 2019 8:46 AM - Ray Fox: Where can I get a limit switch for the R2. Partsbuilt does not not have them (that I can find.) Is it generic that I can get from Amazon. Would you recommend I also get the step motor?

Oct 10, 2019 at 7:39 AM - mark tomlinson: You can get them from amazon
    Oct 10, 2019 at 7:40 AM - mark tomlinson: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01EHH8BFW
Oct 10, 2019 at 7:41 AM - mark tomlinson: The stepper motors are generic too. You can measure the physical size to match that and then look for one with 200 steps/rev
Oct 10, 2019 at 7:43 AM - mark tomlinson: Actually the limit switch for the R2 is different. The one I posted is for the R1 series. The R2 one is customized and uses an optical sensor. You can probably find something close enough if you are willing to do some work to convert it, but the exact one needs to come from PartsBuilt. Let them know you need it and they can tell you when they can restock it.
Oct 10, 2019 at 9:23 AM - mark tomlinson: Something like this: https://smile.amazon.com/OctagonStar-Endstop-Mechanical-Switch-Printer/dp/B01I1E84SG
Oct 10, 2019 at 9:23 AM - mark tomlinson: or this

Oct 10, 2019 at 9:24 AM - mark tomlinson: could be made to work, but they are not exactly the same size/dimensions

Mar 18, 2020 10:34 AM - Braydon ROBO 3D: company is threatening to SUE in a time of crisis like this. So sad
Mar 18, 2020 10:39 AM - Braydon ROBO 3D: I think we should start a petition for release of the 3D printed files so people can volunteer to help print respirator valves
